Health Testing & Care

Our prospective queens and studs are tested for FIV/FeLV and genetic disorders before joining our breeding programme.

Each cat receives a full veterinary examination before being bred. Short-tailed cats are radiographed to check for proper development of spine and pelvis.

All breeding cats are health checked and vaccinated by a veterinarian annually. 

Manx cats do not have a known gene for HCM but our breeding cats are checked for heart murmurs annually. They also undergo regular heart scans. This allows us to monitor the heart health of our breeding lines in the long-term.
